NAV (Net Asset Value)
The per-unit price of one unit of a mutual fund.
NAV is simply the price tag on one unit of a mutual fund. It's calculated at the end of each trading day by taking the total value of everything the fund owns, subtracting its costs, and dividing by the number of units. A higher NAV is not 'expensive' or 'better' — it just reflects the fund's per-unit value.
Example
If a fund's NAV is ₹50 and you invest ₹5,000, you get 100 units.
